I am not sure why, but I never read a book about academic writing. Even though I am struggling with it quite badly on the few times I have attempted it, I have never read up on it, which is my normal response to struggling. All I know about academic writing, comes from reading academic texts and learning how they are normally built up and what I like and dislike myself.

In this post I will collect tips and tricks I read up on, when I come across them, even though I do not intend to read up systematically.

In a blog I came across this interesting post on reasons why articles become rejected. I find this a very helpful angle, even better than things to do particularly. In the comments below the article are further helpful links.
